The Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Nikoloz Samkharadze, held a meeting with the representatives of the Diplomatic Missions of the EU states and discussed the regional challenges and the Russian aggression in Ukraine, as well as the EU candidacy for Georgia and the Georgia-NATO relations.
Samkharadze dwelt on the destructive steps made by Russia and posing threat to Georgia on a daily basis. He underlined the grave situation on the occupied territories and the significance of the Geneva Talks in this process.
The parties overviewed the processes in the South Caucasus and highlighted the essential role of Georgia in the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict in the capacity of a mediator.
The economic issues and the domestic political situation of Georgia were also discussed.
