The number of people fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in Georgia has reached 204,234, reports the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health (NCDC).
The agency says a total of 664,997 vaccinations have been carried out.
In the last 24 hours, 5697 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia. The virus has killed another 54 people. There are 43,163 active cases of the virus in the country at this stage.
There are 4 types of vaccines against coronavirus available in Georgia: Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sinopharm and Sinovac. Registration for the second dose of Pfizer started on August 10, and the vaccination process will start on August 15. Health officials say authorized COVID vaccines effectively protect people from death and serious illness.
