  • Exploring Tomorrow’s Careers: A Fresh Series of TBC Gatherings

“Future Professions” marks an innovative endeavor by TBC, aiming to host in-person gatherings featuring field experts discussing the evolving impact of technological advancements on traditional careers.

The inaugural session delved into the transformation of the creative industry, headlining the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity youth competition panel. Key questions arose: How will roles and professions evolve? Could generative AI tools render creative professions obsolete? Nino Egadze, founder of the “Design Institute”; Zaal Gachechiladze, from AI Lab; and Koka Kamushadze, of Playmakers, offered insights on these pressing topics.

With technology evolving at breakneck speed, coupled with the rise of artificial intelligence, uncertainty looms. The discourse emphasized that modern technologies don’t usurp professions but rather present fresh avenues for exploration and diversified careers.

TBC places a premium on nurturing the next generation and bolstering educational initiatives. By integrating modern technologies into practical settings, TBC equips youth with the skills needed for tomorrow’s professions, empowering them to unlock potential, explore new horizons, and transform ideas into reality.

  • TBC Capital and Galt & Taggart Convene Workshop at the 57th ADB Annual Meeting

During the 57th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), TBC Capital and Galt & Taggart organized a seminar titled “Sustainable Financing: Advancing ESG in Capital Markets.”

A diverse array of representatives from both local and international financial institutions actively participated in this event. Market stakeholders, including investors and issuers, deliberated on the future trajectory of sustainable capital markets and investment opportunities supporting ESG and green bond initiatives within Georgia and other developing nations.

This seminar aligns closely with the ESG strategies of the Bank of Georgia and TBC, representing a significant joint effort to propel sustainable development initiatives forward.

Levan Shavkatsishvili, CEO of Galt & Taggart, emphasized the global trend towards incorporating sustainability components into bond markets, driven by the necessity for financing and endorsed by international financial entities. Notably, Galt & Taggart played a pivotal role as the first placement agent for green, sustainability-focused, and social bonds in the local market, contributing significantly to this burgeoning trend.

Mary Chachanidze, Managing Director of TBC Capital, highlighted the exponential growth of global ESG and green bond issuance, surpassing a market capitalization of $1 trillion. She emphasized the importance of Georgian companies engaging in this movement to attract increased interest from local and international investors. The workshop at the ADB Annual Meeting served as a strategic platform to discuss the pivotal role of ESG in capital markets.

The ADB’s 57th annual meeting, hosted for the first time in Georgia from May 2-5, provides a crucial platform for ADB and its partners to collectively address challenges confronting the Asia-Pacific region and explore sustainable solutions.
